URGENT: QA Engineer – Central Government

Day Rate: £350pd, Inside IR35 | Location: Newcastle (once per sprint) | Start: ASAP

If you like contract work, like working for top public sector organisations, and value work-life balance with a genuinely great team — this one's for you. We're urgently hiring a QA Engineer to join one of the UK's largest and most impactful government programmes, with an ASAP start. Roles on programmes this high-profile don't come up often — and this one's moving fast.

• BPSS clearance required (or ability to obtain)
• Solid automation testing background using Selenium/Playwright
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber (BDD)
• Confident working in agile, sprint-based delivery teams
• Only occasional travel to Newcastle (once per sprint) — genuinely great work/life balance

This is a brilliant opportunity to bring your automation testing expertise to a mission-critical government programme, working alongside experienced engineers on high-visibility deliverables that make a real difference. And if you've got what it takes to land this one, you can be confident you'll be well looked after — BPSS-ready automation testers with this profile are in short supply, and we know how to take care of the people who have it.
