Engineering Stores Coordinator (Interim)

Bishops Stortford

Pay rate: Negotiable DOE

Contract: Interim - 4 months guaranteed, with strong potential to extend to 6

Hours: Monday to Friday, days, 39 hours per week (early finish on Fridays)

Start date: ASAP / early October

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Bishops Stortford for a Temporary Engineering Stores Coordinator to lead a stock organisation project within their engineering department.

This is an organisational role rather than a hands-on maintenance position, you won't be working on machinery. Instead, you'll take ownership of the engineering parts stock across three stores locations, setting up a clear, well-organised system from the ground up.

What you'll be doing:

  • Sorting and cataloguing engineering parts across three stores locations
  • Identifying and accurately documenting stock
  • Organising parts into the right locations and setting up a clear system for the future
  • Building and labelling racking to properly house stock
  • Owning an improvement project from start to finish

What we're looking for:

  • A background in stock checking, stores, or inventory
  • A methodical, organised approach
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, happy working independently

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure and process to a busy engineering environment, and wants a project they can properly get their teeth into.
