Website Executive
London
Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Website Executive to join their Digital team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.
The Website Product Owner will define and deliver the vision, strategy and roadmap for PBWM's web estate, managing the websites as a strategic digital product that enhances client experience, supports business growth and drives digital transformation.
The role will lead PBWM's evolution towards a modern, scalable headless CMS architecture, establishing the platform, governance and capability required to support reusable content, faster publishing, personalisation and future multi-channel content delivery.
Working across Marketing, Technology, UX, Content, Analytics, SEO and Compliance, the role will prioritise and optimise the website ecosystem, balancing client needs, commercial objectives, operational efficiency and regulatory requirements.
Own the website product vision, strategy, roadmap and backlog, aligned to business, digital and transformation objectives.
Translate client, business and regulatory requirements into prioritised initiatives that improve engagement, conversion, servicing and efficiency.
Own end-to-end website journeys, championing customer-centric design, accessibility and continuous improvement.
Partner with UX, Analytics, Technology and Marketing teams to improve usability, personalisation, experimentation and performance.
Own and manage the CRO function and roadmap.
Lead the primary website transformation initiative – migration to a headless CMS.
Define the ongoing digital experience platform roadmap alongside Architecture and Engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership across CMS architecture, APIs, templates, components and integrations to support scalable, future-ready solutions.
Lead, coach and develop website product, content operations or delivery colleagues as the function evolves, setting clear objectives, priorities and performance expectations.
Build capability within the team by upskilling to meet capability gaps, embedding effective ways of working, clear ownership, documentation and knowledge-sharing.
Partner with Content and Marketing teams to improve content effectiveness, discoverability and performance across SEO/GEO/AEO.
Establish content governance and publishing standards across global markets.
Ensure website activity complies with regulatory, legal, privacy, accessibility and governance requirements.
Work with Compliance, Legal and Risk to support cross-border digital marketing and jurisdiction-specific requirements, balancing global consistency with local needs.
Define and monitor website KPIs, business outcomes and non-functional requirements, including performance, resilience, security, scalability and site speed.
Use analytics and customer insights to inform prioritisation, investment decisions and ongoing optimisation.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will preferably be based in London.
To develop, implement, and manage digital marketing platform and channels, including the management of the website, social media channels and marketing technology platforms.
All colleagues will be expected to demonstrate the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship – our moral compass, helping us do what we believe is right. They will also be expected to demonstrate the Barclays Mindset – to Empower, Challenge and Drive – the operating manual for how we behave.
