We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Care Manager (Clinical) to support the Home Manager in the delivery of safe, compassionate and high-quality nursing care within a well-established care service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NMC Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in clinical leadership, governance and the day-to-day running of the home.
The Role
Support the Home Manager with the effective day-to-day management of the service.
Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
Ensure care delivery meets CQC standards, legislation and best practice.
Lead and support clinical audits, care plan reviews and medication management.
Mentor, supervise and develop nurses and care staff.
Complete pre-admission assessments, risk assessments and ongoing reviews.
Promote safeguarding and ensure appropriate referral pathways are followed.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
Take responsibility for the clinical running of the home in the Home Manager's absence.
Promote person-centred care, dignity, choice and independence.
About You
Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager / Deputy Care Manager.
NMC Registered Nurse - essential.
Strong working knowledge of CQC requirements and clinical governance.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with care planning, medication, safeguarding and clinical audits.
A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred nursing care.
