Salary: £53,000 per annum

A leading FMCG food manufacturer is recruiting for a Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a modern, high-care production facility in Suffolk.
This is a hands‑on senior engineering role, suited to an experienced multi‑skilled engineer who enjoys fault‑finding, improving asset reliability, and supporting site‑wide engineering standards within a regulated food manufacturing environment.

The Role

Planned preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance across site assets
Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding, including PLC‑controlled systems
Supporting equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects
Use of CMMS systems to manage PPMs, breakdowns, and maintenance records
Supporting food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance (BRC environment)
Liaising with contractors and supporting engineering projects

What Were Looking For

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi‑Skilled Engineering
Proven experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
Strong fault‑finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems
Experience with PLCs, control systems, pneumatics, and heavy machinery
Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and CMMS
Comfortable working in a high‑care, regulated environment
18th Edition, food safety, IOSHH, or similar qualifications are advantageous but not essential
