Business Development Manager

We are working on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership in Oxford, to recruit a Local Business Development Manager. This Business Development Manager position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive, fleet, or commercial sales professional to develop their career within a respected organisation.

The Local Business Development Manager will play a key role in growing the dealership's presence within the local business community. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and fleet customers, generating new sales opportunities, and promoting vehicles alongside finance solutions. The successful individual will manage the entire sales process from initial enquiry through to vehicle delivery, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Achieving sales and profitability targets on a consistent basis is essential, alongside fostering long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

• A basic salary of £27,000 with a performance-related OTE of up to £50,000

Requirements of a Business Development Manager:

• Previous automotive, fleet, or commercial sales experience is essential
• Experience in business development preferred
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Oxford
• Hold a UK driving licence with minimal points
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Well-presented, proactive, self-motivated, and tenacious
• Demonstrable success in business-to-business sales
