Maintenance Engineer | £45,000 + annual bonus

Salary: £45,000

OTE: £50-55k with bonus and OT.

Location: Dewsbury

Shift Pattern: Day shift 07:00 - 16:00

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing business at its manufacturing facility in Dewsbury with over 80 years of industry success. This is an industrial facility with a mixture of old and new machinery, it would ideally suit an engineer who loves being hands on, making improvements and likes being challenged.

The site is headed up by an experienced manager who values development of his engineers and will put together a skills matrix specific to you to help build your skill.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving an industrial manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Attend equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime
• Maintain conveyors, presses, robotics, automated machinery, and production equipment
• Work on three-phase electrical systems and industrial controls
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with a large engineering team to support operational performance

Candidate Requirements

• Level 3 Engineering Qualification or above (Electrical, Maintenance Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar)
• Experience working within manufacturing, production, FMCG, automation, industrial, or engineering environments
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance
• Experience with automated machinery, conveyors, robotics, PLCs, or industrial equipment is advantageous
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team environment
