You will work closely with software engineering, platform and security colleagues to improve how services are built, deployed, monitored and supported. The role offers strong technical ownership and the chance to influence tooling, standards and architecture.

What you will be doing

• Build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable, repeatable software delivery.
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting and operational visibility across production systems.
• Work with software engineers to improve deployment practices, resilience and release confidence.
• Support containerised services and orchestration platforms across development and production environments.
• Contribute to security, backup, disaster recovery and operational best practice.

What we are looking for

• Strong commercial experience in a DevOps, platform, cloud or site reliability engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure in a production environment.
• Experience with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Git-based workflows and automated deployment practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or a comparable container orchestration platform.
• Good scripting skills and confidence troubleshooting Linux, networking and application infrastructure issues.

What is on offer

• Salary between £70,000 and £85,000, depending on experience.
• Hybrid working from Manchester.
• Strong ownership of cloud infrastructure and delivery tooling.
• Modern technologies include infrastructure-as-code, containers and automated deployment pipelines.
• A collaborative engineering environment with scope to shape technical standards and progress into broader platform leadership.
