HSE Recruitment are working with the recycling business in Nottingham who are seeking a HSE Compliance Officer to cover two sites in Nottingham.

Reporting into a Director you will be given the freedom and autonomy to improve processes and standards across the company. Being a small company there is a flat structure and ability to get things done quickly. We are seeking a hands‑on, dynamic, roll‑your‑sleeves‑up approach. Someone who will be innovative, proactive, pragmatic and come up with cost effective solutions to problems.

Risks on site include: working at height, machinery, large cranes with grabbers, lorries and workplace transport, contractor control and confined space.

What we are looking for:

NEBOSH certificate qualification as a minimum.
Experience across waste & recycling, manufacturing or production, something with a similar risk profile.
WAMITAB would be desirable along with EA permitting knowledge.
Must be hands on, able to build trusted relationships.
Dynamic, go‑getter who can get stuck in.
Down to earth, proactive and pragmatic person who can provide simple and usable cost effective solutions.

This is a Monday–Friday site based role with working hours 8am – 4pm.

Salary on offer is £45,000‑£60,000 dependent on experience.
