AV Commissioning Engineer

London Source: WhatJobs

£40,000–£45,000/mo

If you are an experienced AV Commissioning Engineer looking for a role where you can actually take ownership of your projects and work with a top‑tier team, this one is worth a look.

I am working with a fast‑growing audio‑visual systems integrator (now circa 45 people) with a busy pipeline of high‑end projects across the UK and Europe. The culture here is excellent, with sales, delivery, and engineering actually backing each other up and making a point of celebrating their wins together.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and full on‑site commissioning of various AV systems, ensuring everything works to specification and meets the client's needs.

Your time will be split between hands‑on technical work and project closure:

Commissioning and Testing (90%) : Full on‑site commissioning, advanced configuration, off‑site testing, troubleshooting, clear reporting, and client training.
Reporting and Management (10%) : Vetting closure reports, managing "as‑built vs. as‑drawn" updates, and attending monthly improvement and team meetings.
Ad‑Hoc : Van and equipment stock management, scheduling office days, and maintaining file structure/revision control.

What you will need

At least 4 years of solid audio‑visual industry experience.
Strong DSP programming skills (Biamp, Polycom, Extron, Crestron, or Shure).
AVIXA CTS certification is essential (CTS‑I is a bonus).
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and problem‑solve on‑site without walking away from a challenge.
A clean driving licence.
Desirable: Crestron P101/P102, QSC, Extron, or control system programming skills.

On offer

Circa £40,000 to £45,000 basic salary
Car allowance
Company benefits package

If you want to join a team that values quality standards, invests in your training, and keeps a solid pipeline of work on the books without the corporate nonsense, apply via the link or get in touch with the team at IN2‑AV to discuss the role in more detail.
