Job Title: Children’s Home Dual Registered Manager

Location: Barnsley

Salary: £54,000 per annum + bonuses (OTE up to £70,800)

⏰ Working Hour: 39 hours per week | Monday–Friday 9am–5pm (on-call rota required)

Hourly Rate: N/A – salaried role

🛏️ Number of Sleeps Required: As required to cover shortfalls

Pay Per Sleep: Included within salary / on-call arrangements

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: YPs | EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Needs)

Qualifications Required:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People)
• Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
  Experience in Years Required:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years in residential childcare
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
  Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

• Number of Beds: Two homes – 1 x 2-bed & 1 x 4-bed
• Location: Barnsley
• Type of YPs: EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Needs)
• Ofsted Rating: Homes operating to high Ofsted standards
• Ratio of staff to children: Established staffing teams in place

Who we are looking for…

An experienced and motivated Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children’s residential homes . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management , ensuring high-quality care, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.

You will:

• Lead and manage both homes in line with legislation, regulations, and Statements of Purpose
• Promote safeguarding, child protection, and young people’s rights
• Lead, supervise, and develop staff teams
• Ensure high standards of care aligned with Ofsted requirements
• Manage admissions and discharges
• Oversee care planning to meet physical, emotional, psychological, and social needs
• Prepare for and attend inspections, audits, and meetings
• Undertake on-call duties on a rota basis
• Write and oversee concise, evaluative reports
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the homes
