We are currently seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our client on a 12-month contract based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting‑edge automation projects in a hands‑on, fully on‑site role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to a high standard
Produce technical documentation including manuals, test procedures, and system specifications
Collaborate with customers and internal teams, providing technical expertise and support
Contribute to the development of new products and system improvements
Follow and support project timelines set by the Systems Engineering Manager
Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning activities
Requirements
Strong experience with PLC programming
Proven expertise in SCADA systems and industrial automation
Solid understanding of control systems and electrical integrationGood HMI skills needed
Experience with CAD tools
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
