National Account Manager

At May & Raeburn, we are looking for a National Account Manager to join our growing Confectionery division, representing a dynamic, challenger portfolio of brands including Hi-Chew, Fluffy Stuff, Albanese, Tasty Tubs and Rocky Mountain.

This role combines account management and new business development, with responsibility across wholesale, convenience and grocery channels.

We are a dynamic, entrepreneurial FMCG business, so this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment, enjoys autonomy, and is motivated by making things happen without the layers and resource of a large corporate.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and grow key national accounts across wholesale, convenience and grocery
• Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive brand growth
• Build strong, commercial relationships with buyers and stakeholders
• Develop and execute customer plans, promotions and joint business plans
• Represent the brands at tradeshows and events
• Work closely with a small, agile team to deliver results
• Act as a brand ambassador for our confectionery portfolio in the market
• React quickly to opportunities and challenges in a fast‑moving environment

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a BDM, NAM or Senior NAM within FMCG – confectionery experience, or closely related impulse categories is highly desirable
• Strong track record managing wholesale, convenience and/or grocery accounts
• A natural relationship builder and commercial negotiator
• Comfortable with both account management and hunting for new business
• Highly self‑sufficient and proactive – able to operate with limited resource
• Resilient, adaptable and thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting
• A genuine team player who contributes to a positive, collaborative culture
• Home based living no more than 2 hours away from Coventry with flexibility to travel across the UK
