Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our automotive industry client, who is seeking a Cost Engineer for an initial twelve-month assignment.
About the role
You will be responsible for evaluating product, development and investment costs for current and future product development plans at a system or part level, and for working proactively toward achieving cost target objectives with project teams across product platforms in conjunction with the Purchasing and Engineering functions.

Work with Purchasing and Engineering to achieve cost targets across product platforms.
Qualifications
Experience of product cost management.
Knowledge of automotive cost estimating and engineering practices.
Experience in technical negotiations.
Experience in developing suppliers to determine good value for money products.
Experience with Siemens TcPCM Product Costing or similar software solutions (Desirable).
