Software Engineer – Polyglot-Friendly Team, Big Impact on Clean Energy

Location : 2 days onsite in London (Zone 1)

Are you a JVM engineer curious about Kotlin – or already loving it?

Want to solve complex problems that contribute to a greener, more sustainable world?

Join a high-calibre engineering team building modern, customer-facing and energy-focused systems in one of the UK’s most exciting clean tech companies.

As the Software Engineer, you will:

Design and build well-structured backend systems using Kotlin (or learning it quickly if you’ve worked with other languages before).
Collaborate closely with product and design teams to ship high-impact features to thousands of customers.
Contribute to a culture that values curiosity, bold thinking and raising the bar – whether you’re an introvert or love a whiteboard.
Champion clear communication and collaborative problem-solving within a modern engineering setup.
Help shape a product that’s transforming energy usage at scale, from the inside out.

Tech Stack : Kotlin (JVM), modern backend architectures, CI/CD, microservices, cloud-native platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP)

What we're looking for:

Either hands-on Kotlin or JVM experience with a proven ability to learn and use other languages.
Experience in modern tech companies with good engineering practices.
Strong communicator – you don’t need to be loud, just clear and thoughtful in how you express ideas.
Appetite to challenge the status quo, take ownership and improve systems and ways of working.
We’re not the right place for engineers coming from highly structured, slow-moving environments - they are looking for Engineers who like to take risks!

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a team where your ideas are valued, your skills are stretched and your work genuinely makes a difference in the fight for a more sustainable future.

Curious? Excited?

Apply now and let’s build the future of clean energy together.
