Platform Engineer

Overview

You’re the kind of Platform Engineer who doesn’t just “run” Linux. You tune it. Break it. Fix it. Automate it. Improve it. You like AWS because it gives you options. You like hybrid because it forces you to think. And you’re comfortable when Linux, Windows, networking and security all collide in the same environment. You don’t want a narrow ticket queue. You want ownership.

I’m hiring a Senior Platform Engineer (Linux / AWS) into a Glasgow-based firm operating in global financial markets. The infrastructure here supports time-sensitive, high-impact activity. When something moves, it matters. When something breaks, it gets fixed properly. You’ll be someone who enjoys digging into:

• Linux and Windows in live production environments
• Virtualised infrastructure
• AWS within a hybrid estate
• Automation with tools like Ansible
• Enterprise networking and security
• Monitoring, resilience and recovery planning

Responsibilities

This is broad, hands-on engineering. Part operational responsibility, part project delivery. Often the escalation point. You’ll be trusted to think, to improve and to take ownership of complex systems without being micromanaged.

Location

Glasgow city centre. Hybrid working. Senior level.

Qualifications

• Senior Platform Engineer (Linux / AWS) with hands-on experience
• Experience with Linux and Windows in live production environments

If you want infrastructure that genuinely matters and the scope to shape it properly, apply now.
