We are helping a large UK‑owned software group to build and scale a world‑class, AI‑first engineering organisation in Manchester. They have very ambitious plans and the budget to make it happen.

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to guide a cross‑functional squad to deliver secure, reliable, and high‑quality software.

You’ll combine hands‑on coding with technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving best practices in cloud‑native development, CI/CD, and Agile delivery. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with Product, Architecture, and SRE teams to ensure alignment and technical excellence.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities
• Strong technical skills in modern frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React.js) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Experience with Agile delivery, DevOps principles, and secure software development
• Ability to mentor, guide, and inspire engineers
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
