Senior Software Engineer

Software engineer – Energy Tech | £90k | Hybrid London (1 day a week)

We’re looking for Software engineers to join a small, elite team building the future of home energy management. This isn’t a job for feature‑chasers or those who want to hide behind tickets, you’ll take full ownership of the code you write, from design to deployment, across front end, back end, and mobile.

The company is on a mission to accelerate the transition to net‑zero homes.

The team is driven by impact: reducing energy waste, lowering costs for households, and making sustainable living simple and accessible.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building full stack features end-to-end Node.js, TypeScript, React and occasionally React Native
• Contributing to system architecture, scalable microservices, and cloud infrastructure
• Driving quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
• Mentoring junior engineers (for senior roles) and helping set the technical direction of the team

Tech environment:

• Python or .Net Back End
• Cloud: GCP preferred, but AWS or Azure also fine
• React Native (bonus, not required)

Why this role is exciting:

• End-to-end ownership : you’re accountable for what you build, not just your corner of the code
• Elite team : small, high-performing, experienced engineers who push you to be better
• Impact : work on tech that touches real people’s lives while helping the planet
• Autonomy : no micromanagement, shape solutions the way you see fit
• Growth : learn from highly skilled peers, and influence the direction of the product

What we’re looking for:

• Strong full stack experience: Node.js + TypeScript + React
• Confident shipping production software end-to-end
• Product‑minded, proactive, and capable of working in ambiguity
• Collaborative, humble, and technically curious
• Bonus: experience with React Native, event‑driven systems, or smart home / energy tech

If you want autonomy, high standards, and the chance to build software that genuinely matters, please apply.
