Are you an experienced Electro-Mechanical Systems Integration Engineer with a passion for electro-mechanical design, complex diverse products, and innovation? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and supporting our market-leading product range—trusted by a global, blue-chip client base across multiple industries.

This is a highly varied position offering involvement across the full product lifecycle, from troubleshooting existing products and driving engineering improvements through to prototype development, new product introduction and technical support.

You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing and service teams to enhance product performance, reliability and manufacturability while helping shape the future product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate and test complex electro-mechanical systems and instrumentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Investigate and diagnose electronic, electrical and system-level faults.
  • Support new product development activities, including prototyping, testing and validation.
  • Develop automated test solutions to monitor and improve product performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including specifications, test reports and engineering change documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to improve product quality, build efficiency and delivery performance.
  • Provide technical support for internal teams and customer-related issues.
  • Contribute to future product development through market awareness and innovative engineering solutions.

We're looking for a hands-on engineer with a broad understanding of both electronic and mechanical systems.

You are likely to have experience with:

  • Electro-mechanical equipment or complex engineered products.
  • Electronic fault-finding and troubleshooting to component level.
  • Analogue and digital electronics design.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Product testing, validation and root cause analysis.
  • Engineering change processes and product lifecycle support.
  • Data analysis and performance evaluation using engineering software tools.

Desirable experience

  • Embedded systems and microcontroller-based products.
  • EMC, electrical safety or product compliance testing.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical, Electronic, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline (or with commensurate experience)
  • Proven experience in industry to enable you to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where you'll have genuine influence on product development, system performance and future innovation. You'll enjoy a varied role combining hands-on engineering, problem solving, product improvement and new technology development.
