We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-maintained school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks across the school site.
• Ensure the school premises, grounds and facilities are safe, secure and well maintained.
• Open and lock the school buildings as required.
• Conduct regular site checks and report any maintenance or health and safety issues.
• Support the setting up of classrooms, halls and other areas for school events and activities.
• Liaise with contractors and assist with deliveries when required.
• Ensure compliance with school health and safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance or a similar facilities role.
• Practical skills in general maintenance and basic repairs.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• A flexible and proactive approach to daily tasks.
• Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.
