We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-maintained school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks across the school site.

Ensure the school premises, grounds and facilities are safe, secure and well maintained.

Open and lock the school buildings as required.

Conduct regular site checks and report any maintenance or health and safety issues.

Support the setting up of classrooms, halls and other areas for school events and activities.

Liaise with contractors and assist with deliveries when required.

Ensure compliance with school health and safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance or a similar facilities role.

Practical skills in general maintenance and basic repairs.

Good awareness of health and safety procedures.

Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

A flexible and proactive approach to daily tasks.

Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.
