Job Description

Supply Desk are supporting a highly regarded secondary school in the Winchester area in their search for a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time position teaching Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the role expected to continue until July 2027 . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons, fostering respect for different beliefs and cultures, encouraging critical thinking, and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality RE lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental success
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education
• Experience teaching RE at secondary level
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Passion for inspiring and engaging young people
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
• Ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
