Project Surveyor – Pharmaceutical Fit-Out & Construction

Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Frontline Construction Recruitment is working with an established main contractor to recruit a Project Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of pharmaceutical fit-out, refurbishment and construction projects across Milton Keynes and the M25 corridor.

The successful candidate will initially support a major pharmaceutical fit-out and redevelopment project in Milton Keynes, with several other projects and a strong pipeline of new schemes planned for 2027 and beyond.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Project Surveyor looking for a long-term position with a varied workload. Experience in mechanical and electrical (M&E) services would be a significant advantage, particularly within pharmaceutical, laboratory or commercial fit-out environments.

The Role

• Managing the commercial aspects of construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects
• Preparing and monitoring project budgets, cost forecasts and commercial reports
• Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and accounts
• Assessing variations, monitoring costs and agreeing final accounts
• Monitoring project expenditure and identifying commercial risks
• Supporting contract administration and cost control
• Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors and the wider delivery team

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Project Surveyor within the construction industry
• Main contractor experience preferred
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project cost management
• Experience with subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts
• M&E experience would be a significant advantage
• Pharmaceutical, laboratory, healthcare or commercial fit-out experience desirable
• Strong organisational, communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage commercial responsibilities and contribute to successful project delivery
