Project Surveyor – Pharmaceutical Fit-Out & Construction

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Frontline Construction Recruitment is working with an established main contractor to recruit a Project Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of pharmaceutical fit-out, refurbishment and construction projects across Milton Keynes and the M25 corridor.

The successful candidate will initially support a major pharmaceutical fit-out and redevelopment project in Milton Keynes, with several other projects and a strong pipeline of new schemes planned for 2027 and beyond.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Project Surveyor looking for a long-term position with a varied workload. Experience in mechanical and electrical (M&E) services would be a significant advantage, particularly within pharmaceutical, laboratory or commercial fit-out environments.

The Role

Managing the commercial aspects of construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects

Preparing and monitoring project budgets, cost forecasts and commercial reports

Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and accounts

Assessing variations, monitoring costs and agreeing final accounts

Monitoring project expenditure and identifying commercial risks

Supporting contract administration and cost control

Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors and the wider delivery team

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Project Surveyor within the construction industry

Main contractor experience preferred

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project cost management

Experience with subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts

M&E experience would be a significant advantage

Pharmaceutical, laboratory, healthcare or commercial fit-out experience desirable

Strong organisational, communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage commercial responsibilities and contribute to successful project delivery
