About Joloda Hydraroll

Joloda Hydraroll design and manufacture loading systems that get goods on and off trucks and trailers faster. They've been doing it for over 60 years, with more than 500,000 systems installed and around 85% of output exported. Customers include Amazon, DHL and Nestlé.

The engineering team is growing to keep up with client demand.

The role

You'll own the electrical design of automated loading systems, from schematics and panel layouts through to the documentation the build team works from.

You'll work closely with mechanical, controls, project and service engineers so what's designed can be built, wired and commissioned without surprises. You'll also have a real say in how electrical design is done here.

You'll:

  • Design control panels, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts
  • Select components and make sure designs meet IEC, UL and NFPA standards
  • Work with PLC programmers to integrate Siemens (S7, TIA Portal) and Rockwell hardware
  • Produce cable schedules, harness diagrams and test plans
  • Work with mechanical and project engineers to deliver manufacturable designs
  • Visit client sites occasionally to see your systems installed

What you'll bring

Essential

  • Proven experience in electrical design of control panels for industrial automation or machinery
  • Experience with an ECAD package – EPLAN Electric P8 is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of IEC standards for control panel design
  • Familiarity with Siemens or Rockwell PLC hardware

Useful, not essential

  • Conveyor or materials handling experience
  • Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical or HMI experience
  • EPLAN certification or PLC programming experience
  • UL or NFPA design for export projects

Benefits and culture

Development: Genuine career progression in a global business, working on international projects.

Working arrangements

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am–4.30pm, Friday 8am–2.30pm

Travel: Office-based, with occasional client site visits

How to apply

Using EPLAN already, or on another ECAD package and keen to move across? Either way, we'd like to hear from you.
