Junior Field Sales Engineer

An exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering business supplying specialist technical solutions to customers across a range of high-value industries, including aerospace, defence, rail, automotive, electronics and advanced engineering.

This role would suit someone at an early stage of their commercial career who is keen to develop their sales skills, build customer relationships and progress into a field-based technical sales position.

The Role

• Support the development of new business opportunities across the North of England and Scotland.
• Build relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to grow accounts.
• Research potential customers and help develop new markets and build sales pipelines.
• Understand customer requirements and work with internal teams to identify suitable solutions.
• Support the sales process from initial enquiry through to quotation and order.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity.
• Attend customer meetings, industry events and exhibitions, with support from the wider team.

About You

• Experience in B2B sales, account management, customer service or a similar commercial role.
• An interest in, or exposure to, industries such as electronics manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence, aviation, rail or marine.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with customers.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with a genuine interest in developing new business.
• Good organisation skills and a willingness to learn.
• An interest in developing technical knowledge and progressing within technical sales.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.

The Opportunity

You'll receive training and support from an experienced commercial and technical team, developing your product knowledge, sales capabilities and customer relationships as you grow into the role.

This is an opportunity to build a career in technical sales, gain exposure to a range of engineering markets and take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.

You will be based remotely with weeklyclient travel across the North of England and Scotland, managing your own diary.
