Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Mechanical Chargehand on an 3 Month Contract based in Scotland.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of installation teams on site.
Oversee primary equipment installation on GIS and AIS substations.
Carry out and supervise substation earthing installations.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality on site.
Assist with lifting operations and equipment positioning where appropriately qualified.
Liaise with site management to ensure project deadlines are achieved.
Provide hands-on support to installation teams when required.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Primary Chargehand, Supervisor or Lead Fitter on HV substation projects.
Strong experience with GIS and AIS equipment installation.
Proven knowledge of substation earthing systems.
SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
NPORS or CPCS Lift Supervisor certification.
First Aid at Work certification.
Previous experience working on major UK transmission and distribution projects.
