Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on a 15-month contract , located in Scotland

Role Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a long-term substation project in Scotland. The successful candidates will have previous substation experience, with a strong background in mechanical installation and earthing works.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical installation and fitting works within a substation environment.
Undertake earthing and bonding installation in accordance with project requirements.
Install and assemble mechanical equipment and associated components.
Work from drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Ensure all works are completed safely and to the required quality standards.
Work effectively as part of a site-based construction team.
Follow all site health, safety and

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
Previous substation experience – essential.
Previous earthing experience – essential.
Valid CSCS card – essential.
Strong understanding of mechanical installation within a power/substation environment.
Ability to work safely and effectively within a site team.

Desirable

PASMA certification.
CPCS tickets.
Additional relevant plant or lifting qualifications.
Experience working on high-voltage substation projects.
