Machine Operator

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a Machine Operator working a 3 rotating shift pattern for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

Machine Operator Benefits:

• Shifts: Rotating DAYS 6am to 2pm/NIGHTS 10pm to 6am and AFTERS 2pm to 10pm - please do not apply if you can't work rotating shifts
• Hours: 39 hours per week paid weekly
• Start date: ASAP or no later than Monday 19th October 2026 - please do not apply if you have holidays booked in the next 12 weeks as this is the crucial training period
• Pay Rates: 16.31 for Days & Afters & 17.36 for Nights
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent subject to performance, attendance & client requirement
• Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72

Machine Operator Duties:

• Working on and operating panel bank CNC/Drilling Machines
• Load programme for correct panel type
• Operating and loading panels into machines
• Quality checking of materials and finished products
• Working with wood and heavy items
• Picking items ready for laoding
• Willingness do otehr dutues are part of the role
• Following instructions and ensuring each piece matches the design
• General Housekeeping
• Working on your own and as part of a team
• Minimum daily requirements (production targets)

Machine Operator Criteria:

• Previous assembly/production/manufacturing experience essential
• CNC or machine operating experience preferred
• Basic mechanical understanding
• Hard working, reliable and punctual
• Experience of joinery/carpentry or working with wood preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills

**Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires regular manual handling as part of the day to day duties**
