Do you want to own heavy plant rather than just maintain it?

A global manufacturer supplying critical industries needs a hands-on Plant Engineer for its forge. You'll keep presses, furnaces and hydraulics running. Then you'll make sure the same breakdowns don't come back.

The role

• Own safety, uptime and reliability across your area of plant
• Drive PPM and root-cause recurring breakdowns
• Lead CI on availability, energy and cost (FMEA, 5S, Lean Six Sigma)
• Control engineering spend, spares and contractors
• Write RAMS, lead investigations and coach the maintenance team

You'll need

• A Level 3 NVQ or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years in a plant or maintenance engineering role in heavy manufacturing
• Strong hydraulics knowledge (forging presses and furnaces are a big plus)
• Experience leading change in a unionised environment
• A can-do attitude and a real sense of urgency

Why apply? You'll get real ownership of critical plant and see the impact of your work every day, at a business serving some of the toughest customers in aerospace.

Apply now or contact Stirling Warrington, the manufacturing recruitment specialists, for a confidential chat.

The postholder may come into contact with technology or equipment controlled by local and/or U.S. Government legislation and will be required to undertake specific security screening protocols.
