1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Bury | BL9

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a caring and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Bury, BL9 .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The role will involve:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil
• Supporting access to classroom learning
• Helping develop communication and social skills
• Encouraging independence and confidence
• Supporting emotional regulation and engagement
• Reinforcing positive behaviour strategies
• Supporting literacy and numeracy activities
• Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team
• Following individual support strategies
• Contributing to a safe and inclusive classroom

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, SEN, Education, Childcare or similar qualification OR
• Have at least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK , either professionally or voluntarily
• Have a genuine interest in SEND
• Be patient, calm and resilient
• Be able to build strong professional relationships
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
