Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor
Location: Nottingham - Centre based
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 (Depending on skills and experience)
Type: Full Time, Permanent
We have 2 vacancies available;

• x1 Maths Tutor
• x1 Maths and English Tutor

Duties:

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English (dependent on role) within a classroom environment up to Level 2.
• Support other additional topics including ESOL and Art as required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Utiliseexisting delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realisetheir potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
• Demonstrableenergy and passion to motivate and train clients.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 4 Teaching qualification.
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.
• Must hold own Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (either GCSE / A LEVEL / Functional Skills)
• Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
