HGV Technician

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established commercial dealership in Basingstoke. The HGV Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal vehicle performance. Duties of the HGV Technician:

• Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Conducting vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and addressing any issues identified
• Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements of the HGV Technician:

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a related commercial vehicle role
• Relevant Level 3 technical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Valid driving licence; an HGV licence is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently when required
