Are you a confident B2B salesperson who enjoys speaking to businesses, building relationships and turning conversations into commercial opportunities?

MET Recruitment is recruiting for an established Wolverhampton-based organisation looking to add a Sales Executive to its team.

This is a varied internal sales position combining inbound lead conversion with proactive outbound business development. You’ll engage with businesses across a wide range of sectors, understand their needs and promote a portfolio of services and commercial opportunities.

It would suit someone from telesales, internal sales, business development, customer success or account management who enjoys working to targets but also believes that good sales starts with a good conversation.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll take responsibility for developing a pipeline of opportunities, converting incoming enquiries and proactively generating new business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and converting inbound sales enquiries
• Making proactive outbound calls to prospective and previous customers
• Holding discovery calls to understand individual business needs
• Building, managing and progressing a structured sales pipeline
• Promoting a range of B2B services and commercial opportunities
• Generating additional revenue through events, training, sponsorship, advertising and partnership opportunities
• Booking appointments for colleagues where further face-to-face discussions would be beneficial
• Working closely with internal teams to maximise leads generated through marketing campaigns and events
• Identifying opportunities to increase revenue across the wider portfolio of services
• Achieving agreed monthly and annual sales and revenue targets
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and ensuring opportunities are followed through
• Providing a professional customer experience from initial enquiry through to handover

The original brief places particular emphasis on converting enquiries, proactive telephone and email activity, pipeline management and generating revenue across several different commercial streams.

We’re looking for someone with previous experience within sales, telesales, customer success, account management or a similar commercially focused role.

You’ll ideally be:

• Confident and engaging on the telephone
• Comfortable working towards sales and revenue targets
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities
• Naturally good at building rapport with business customers
• Organised and able to manage multiple leads and opportunities
• Experienced using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Self-motivated, positive and results-focused
• Committed to delivering excellent customer service

Previous experience within a membership organisation or selling events, sponsorship or advertising would be advantageous but is not essential.

The position is primarily office based in Wolverhampton, with occasional attendance at business events where required.
