The Opportunity for the appointed Business Development Manager

An established and growing specialist safety technology business is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across the UK transport, logistics and warehousing sectors.

The business develops innovative safety solutions for industrial and operational environments, helping organisations improve safety, reduce risk and respond to evolving regulatory requirements.

The Role for the chosen Business Development Manager

You’ll own the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects and creating demand through to specification, solution development and winning orders.

Build and manage a strong new-business pipeline.
Develop relationships with end users, consultants, contractors and system integrators.
Influence specifications through technical presentations, demonstrations and site visits.
Manage complex 12 - 18 month sales cycles.
Build and develop a network of integration partners.
Identify opportunities driven by legislation, standards and market developments.
Work closely with Marketing, Engineering and Customer Service teams.

About you as a Business Development Manager

You’ll be a proactive B2B technical sales professional with a proven ability to generate and develop new business.

Experience within logistics, transport, warehousing, industrial automation, system integration, building services, access control or safety solutions would be advantageous.

You’ll bring:

Strong business development and prospecting skills.
Experience managing complex, specification-led sales.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong commercial and negotiation ability.
CRM experience, ideally Salesforce.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
