Area Sales Manager - Automotive Aftermarket - Northeast & Scotland

Looking for a field-based sales role where you can take ownership of your territory, earn uncapped commission and represent respected aftermarket brands?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional within the automotive aftermarket to join a growing and ambitious business. You'll take ownership of an established territory, developing existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities throughout the region.

Working with a portfolio of recognised automotive aftermarket brands, you'll supply and support motor factors, independent retailers and trade customers across the region, playing a key role in driving sales growth and strengthening market presence.

Location - Field Based - Northeast England & Scotland

Ideal locations include Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Carlisle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and surrounding areas throughout the Northeast and Southern Scotland

Salary - 40,000 Basic Salary + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission

Realistic OTE - 50,000 - 60,000+

The Opportunity

This is a genuine field-based sales role offering the autonomy to manage your own territory and build long-term customer partnerships.

You'll inherit an established customer base across the Midlands while also identifying new opportunities to expand market share and increase product penetration. Success in the role will come from building strong customer relationships, understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities to grow sales and market share across your territory.

Working closely with motor factors, automotive accessory retailers and other aftermarket customers, you'll become a trusted commercial partner while driving sustainable territory growth.

About You

You'll be a motivated, commercially minded sales professional who enjoys being out in the field, engaging with customers and delivering results.

• Proven field sales experience within the automotive aftermarket sector.
• Experience selling into motor factors, automotive accessory retailers or similar trade channels.
• A successful track record of growing sales territories and developing customer accounts.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Good commercial awareness with an understanding of profitable sales growth.
• The ability to work independently and effectively manage your own territory.
• A proactive approach and a genuine passion for winning new business.
• A full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and grow an established Northeast England & Scotland sales territory.
• Grow existing customer accounts through increased product penetration and sales activity.
• Identify, prospect and secure new business opportunities across the territory.
• Sell a broad portfolio of automotive aftermarket products across multiple customer channels.
• Build strong relationships with motor factors, retailers and trade customers.
• Support customers with promotions, merchandising initiatives and product launches.
• Negotiate commercially beneficial agreements while maintaining profitability.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities.
• Provide market feedback and customer insight to support future business growth.
• Deliver against agreed sales targets and business objectives.
