Business Development Manager

About the Role

A growing technology organisation is looking for a New Business Development professional to drive growth across the telecoms, utilities, renewables, and construction sectors.

You will identify new opportunities, build relationships with key decision makers, and manage the full sales process from prospecting through to close. You’ll also work closely with product and operations teams to understand customer challenges and demonstrate the value of technology-led solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
• Develop relationships with prospective clients and key decision makers.
• Lead discovery calls, demonstrations, proposals, and negotiations.
• Manage opportunities through to successful close.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline updates.
• Work with internal teams to align customer needs with solutions.
• Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities.

About You

You are a commercially driven B2B sales professional with a strong track record of winning new business and managing the full sales cycle.

You’ll be confident engaging senior stakeholders, presenting solutions, and developing long-term client relationships. Experience within telecoms, utilities, renewables, construction, or technology would be beneficial.

Essential Experience

• Proven B2B New Business Development experience.
• Strong track record of generating and converting new business.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and CRM.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and position solutions effectively.
• Self-motivated, organised, and commercially driven.

Desirable:

• Experience selling technology-led or SaaS solutions.
• Experience within infrastructure-focused sectors.
• Understanding of complex project or operational environments.
