Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical building services design across HVAC and public health systems, delivering high-quality engineering solutions within a collaborative team. You will own projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and foster client relationships to ensure satisfaction and value. Responsibilities

• Design and specify Mechanical Building Services systems per standards and project requirements
• Produce detailed design deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports
• Conduct site surveys and support construction phase activities
• Coordinate mechanical design with multidisciplinary teams
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders
• Contribute to tenders, bids, and scope of work
• Support project delivery focusing on programme, cost, quality, and client needs
• Take responsibility for mechanical services packages on small to medium projects
• Promote quality, compliance and engineering best practices across projects

Key requirements

• Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Membership of CIBSE, ideally progressing toward Chartered status
• Proven experience in Mechanical Building Services engineering
• Strong HVAC and Public Health design experience
• Experience producing technical specifications and detailed design information
• Experience working in multidisciplinary design teams
• Experience contributing to bids, tenders and proposals
• Good understanding of commercial aspects of projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Navisworks
• Experience with NBS Create / Chorus
