Operational Resilience Manager

Overview

In this role you will strengthen Heathrow’s ability to anticipate, prepare for and respond to disruption, coordinating across the airport community to ensure resilience plans and incident responses are effective and aligned. You will oversee resilience activities, plan exercises, and support strategic initiatives to embed resilience in day-to-day operations. You will lead on-call incident response and build strong, cross-functional relationships to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. This is a chance to shape resilience at a world-scale aviation hub while working with a diverse, multi-partner team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust operational resilience, contingency and business continuity plans to support airport operations
• Provide oversight and assurance of resilience activities across the business
• Plan and deliver resilience exercises, testing programmes and post-incident reviews
• Support operational projects and strategic initiatives by integrating resilience considerations into planning and decision-making
• Play an active role in incident response, including participation in on-call arrangements
• Manage day-to-day Command & Control function while strengthening stakeholder relationships for resilience and regulatory compliance

Key requirements

• Experience in emergency response, crisis management, business continuity, resilience planning or related discipline
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and collaborate at all levels
• Confidence leading discussions, challenging constructively and driving accountability for resilience outcomes
• Experience delivering projects, exercises or operational improvement initiatives
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with ability to stay calm under pressure
• CTC required; UK resident for past 3 years
