Overview

In this role you ensure product quality by inspecting purchased parts and finished goods against specifications, maintaining traceable records, and supporting the incoming inspection process. You work with cross-functional teams to resolve inspection issues, contribute to SOPs and test procedures, and help meet KPI targets. The role emphasizes accuracy, calibration, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

Perform inspections of purchased parts, materials, sub-assemblies or finished products per inspection plans using standard measurement equipment
Document inspection and test results in a traceable manner in a database or internal programs
Maintain controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
Monitor inspection and test equipment to ensure proper operation and calibration of equipment
Assist in creating/updating inspection plans, test procedures, SOPs for the incoming inspection function
Initiate Vendor Non-conformance reports as required
Coordinate with other personnel to address inspection issues
Achieve KPI targets based on FY goals
Observe Health and Safety regulations and participate in other Quality Department activities

Key requirements

MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiar with mechanical measurement techniques and ability to use electrical and mechanical measuring equipment
Ability to read engineering drawings (BS308)
SAP experience would be an advantage
Strong technical English and communication skills
Good general education to GCSE level
Mechanical Engineering or similar technical qualifications are advantageous
