Physical Security Transformation Professional

Overview

In this role you drive the operational maturity of BT’s physical security operations, overseeing Genetec Security Center adoption and integration with legacy systems. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate security needs into actionable delivery, maintain service availability, and support BT’s security strategy and transformation. You’ll work at director level on key security initiatives, balancing risk and operational excellence to protect people, buildings and infrastructure. This is a mission-critical, transformation-focused position in a multi-site, 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational standards and adoption of Genetec and legacy improvements across PSOC
• Hands-on triage for Genetec Security Center, Mission Control, access control, CCTV and alarm integrations
• Drive continuous improvements through strategic security projects and simplify ways of working
• Maintain service availability with strong incident resolution and stakeholder engagement
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to restore services and decommission legacy systems where appropriate
• Engage with senior stakeholders (Director level) on security matters and represent Group ExCo/BAU activities
• Lead operational maturity of Genetec Security Center, including configurations, workflows and performance
• Plan risk-controlled migration and coexistence of legacy monitoring with new systems

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience in 24x7 physical security or network operations in a multi-site environment
• Experience with legacy access control, CCTV, intruder and alarm signalling during migration
• Strong knowledge of Genetec Security Center architecture and operations (essential)
• Ability to translate operational requirements into software backlogs and work with Agile teams
• Experience leading cross-functional delivery and supplier coordination
• Risk management and incident/problem resolution in critical environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with senior audiences
• Experience with service level improvement, operational handover and KPI optimization
