Chef Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead catering operations for client sites, shaping seasonal menus and ensuring service excellence. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client needs, manage budgets, and uphold safety and compliance. You drive staff development, recruitment, and vendor relationships to deliver consistent, high-quality catering experiences. Responsibilities

• Create seasonal menus for site and events in collaboration with the team
• Oversee staff to ensure client requirements and compliance are met
• Train team on menus, serving procedures, etiquette, safety standards, and regulations
• Recruit new staff to meet workload demands
• Manage budgets for food, equipment, staffing, and operations
• Establish vendor relationships and secure best prices
• Ensure daily compliance with legal and company requirements
• Meet client expectations and maintain high service standards

Key requirements

• Proven leadership experience in contract catering management
• Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent
• Proven ability to mentor, lead, and motivate a team
• Experience building client and staff relationships to meet expectations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands
• Right to Work in the UK
• Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management and organizational abilities
• Competent with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• Food hygiene certificate (Level 3) advantageous
