Chef Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead contract catering operations at a site, shaping seasonal menus and ensuring client satisfaction. You will manage and develop a food service team, uphold safety and legal standards, and control budgets to deliver high-quality catering. You will work closely with vendors and clients to meet daily expectations and drive efficient, service-focused operations. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to create seasonal menus for the site and events
• Oversee staff to ensure menu quality aligns with client needs and compliance
• Train team on menus, serving procedures, etiquette, safety standards, and regulations
• Recruit new staff to meet workload demands
• Work within budgets for food, equipment, staffing, and operations
• Establish and manage vendor relationships to secure best prices and supply
• Ensure daily adherence to legal and company requirements

Key requirements

• Proven and extensive experience in managing contract catering operations and teams
• Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent
• Strong leadership with ability to mentor and motivate a team
• Proven in building client and staff relationships to meet expectations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands
• Right to Work in the UK
• Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Good time-management and organizational abilities
• Competent with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Food hygiene certificate Level 3 advantageous
