Overview

In this role you lead a high-performing engineering team within a scaling FinTech, guiding quarterly delivery and the development of your engineers. Responsibilities

Build and lead a high-performing engineering team and own quarterly delivery objectives
Mentor engineers, provide feedback, manage performance, and support career development
Remove blockers and proactively address delivery, technical, and people risks
Collaborate with Product, QA, and Technical Leaders to align strategy and execution
Maintain clear communication across remote, hybrid, and in-person settings
Balance customer outcomes with team health and broader business goals
Foster a sustainable, hands-on engineering culture that scales without relying on you for every problem

Key requirements

Experience leading and delivering complex projects
Advanced leadership or mentoring skills with full management remit
Extensive commercial experience with C# .Net
React knowledge is beneficial but not essential
Strong understanding of modern software development practices and Azure-based scalable architecture
Customer-focused, commercially aware with data-informed decision making
Ability to manage cross-team dependencies and collaborate with Product, QA, and stakeholders
