Overview

In this Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer role, you will be a technical leader for the UK Regional Government sector, aligning Cisco’s portfolio with public sector needs. You’ll craft multi-architecture solutions across Networking, Observability, Security, Collaboration, Compute and AI to address long-term, strategic initiatives. You’ll work with business and technical stakeholders to shape plans, present Cisco capabilities, and support BOM and RFP/RFI responses. If you thrive in cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning, you’ll impact customers’ digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Serve as regional technical leader translating Cisco solutions into strategic customer plans
Work across a broad product portfolio to craft multi-architecture solutions meeting customer needs
Engage with business and technical leaders to influence decisions and priorities
Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase Cisco offerings
Prepare and support Bill of Materials (BOM) and RFP/RFI responses
Collaborate with customers and partners on complex, long-term initiatives
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and Cisco portfolio acquisitions
Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and consultative skills

Key requirements

3+ years of technical, customer-facing experience (preferably pre-sales)
Experience in at least two areas: Networking, Network Automation/Programmability, Data Centre/Cloud, On-Prem and Cloud Security, Observability, Cloud Networking, IoT
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks
Understanding of enterprise technology trends and market drivers
Excellent written and verbal English communication and storytelling skills
