Junior M&E Engineer

Overview

In this role you support the coordination and installation of mechanical and electrical systems within a leading engineering contractor’s team. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and site crews to review drawings, track progress, and assist with quality checks, commissioning, and handover. The position offers practical project experience and hands-on skills development on active site projects. You’ll contribute to safe, compliant project delivery and learn through close collaboration with senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and installation of mechanical and electrical systems
• Review drawings and technical submissions with senior engineers
• Track site progress and liaise with subcontractors and project teams
• Assist with quality inspections and Health & Safety compliance
• Support testing, commissioning, and project handover documentation

Key requirements

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
• Basic understanding of M&E systems and installation methods
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn, work on site, and follow Health & Safety procedures
