Overview

As Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of secure, modern cloud infrastructure across Azure and related platforms. You will guide a dedicated Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering team, driving scalable, secure solutions with IaC and automation. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and MSPs to ensure reliable services and strong governance. This role offers impactful, mission-driven work shaping SPPA’s technology landscape in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and line manage the Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering team
Drive design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of critical cloud services
Manage environments with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Python); enable rapid deployments
Design and implement infrastructure solutions across networking, compute, storage and governance
Apply information security practices and controls to protect services
Contribute to IT Change and Architecture Boards as trusted advisor
Own issues to resolution and coordinate with specialists as needed

Key requirements

MS Azure qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience
Significant experience designing and implementing scalable infrastructure
Knowledge of Azure services, Linux, and broader Microsoft stack; Oracle knowledge advantageous
Experience with IaC (Terraform) and scripting (Python); familiarity with DevOps platforms
Strong problem-solving, governance, and stakeholder management skills
Leadership experience, capable of guiding teams and influencing decisions
