Overview

In this role you lead the maintenance and engineering function to keep plant and assets safe, reliable and compliant. You’ll shape maintenance and reliability strategies to boost asset performance and reduce lifecycle costs while driving safety and continuous improvement. You will coach the engineering team, manage capital projects, and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on optimising resources, budgets and spares to minimise downtime and sustain production.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance and engineering to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations
Develop and deliver maintenance, reliability and engineering strategies to improve asset performance
Inspire, coach and develop the engineering team and foster a safety-focused, accountable culture
Drive engineering improvements and capital projects to enhance reliability and energy efficiency
Oversee statutory inspections and regulatory compliance programmes
Optimise maintenance resources, budgets and critical spare parts to minimise downtime and support production

Key requirements

Strong technical engineering expertise in a complex operational environment
Proven experience delivering engineering and project management solutions that improve safety and performance
Experience building relationships with customers and stakeholders and providing high-level technical support
Track record of identifying/managing operational risks and driving continuous improvement
Ability to influence others, lead change, and implement new ways of working
Strong communication skills to develop colleagues and foster collaboration
