Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own and develop the firm’s infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft technologies, endpoints, servers and networking. You will work hands-on on 2nd and 3rd line IT queries and help manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune across multiple sites. You will support networking across offices (switching, firewalls, VPN, site connectivity) and contribute to site mobilisations and longer-term initiatives like endpoint modernisation and network standardisation. This is a hands-on, on-site role with occasional travel, reporting to the IT Manager. You will join a fast-paced IT function in a construction environment where you can shape multi-site infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop a broad infrastructure estate with a focus on Microsoft technologies, endpoints, servers and networking
• Handle 2nd and 3rd line IT queries in a hands-on role
• Administer Microsoft 365, manage Entra ID and Intune
• Support networking across offices including switching, firewalls, VPN and site connectivity
• Assist with site mobilisations and contribute to long-term infrastructure initiatives (endpoint modernisation, network standardisation)
• Work on a multi-site, multi-company environment and maintain onsite presence five days a week

Key requirements

• Solid Windows Server experience
• Strong Microsoft 365 experience
• Experience with Intune and SCCM
• Ability to work across a multi-site, multi-company environment
• Hands-on, ownership-driven IT professional
• Experience in construction sector is advantageous but not required
