In this role you will join the Test Solutions team to develop and validate hardware/software test solutions for complex electronic systems (RF, digital, analogue). You’ll collaborate across multidisciplinary groups to capture requirements, manage parts and documentation, and support life-cycle reviews. You will craft testing approaches from specification to validation, primarily using LabVIEW and TestStand, and engage with suppliers on make/buy decisions to mitigate risks. This is a hands-on, impact-driven engineering position at the heart of defence electronics testing.
Responsibilities
Design and solve technical problems to develop test solutions
Support requirements capture for Test Equipment Requirement Specifications (TERS)
Control parts and documentation, including change management
Ensure effective implementation of life-cycle design reviews
Develop hardware/software test solutions from requirements to testing
Software development using LabVIEW & TestStand
Support supplier management and project Make/Buy decisions
Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies (e.g., obsolescence)
Key requirements
Good understanding of a range of electronic technologies
Experience working with external suppliers
Degree qualified (or equivalent)
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
